She is sired by *Om El Shareikh and out of *DR Dahlingaznetta.
Her sire, Om El Shareikh, is a full brother to Bint Samanna. Shareikh is presently standing at stud in Australia, but in the process of having him return to America for the 2003 breeding season (unless the Crown Prince of Dubai buys him first. The Prince purchased several offspring of Shareikh as the foundation of his show and endurance breeding program. He would like to have Shareikh as the 'crown' for his breeding program, but he must pay a princely price, or we prefer to have him come back home to California.)
The dam line of Ballerina goes to grand dam DR Dahlingaznetta. This mare is one of the leading producers of champions in this country. Mares who produce foals who become champions are regarded by Arabian Horse World magazine as 'Aristocrat mares'. The magazine ranks the Aristocrat mares by number of champion foals produced. Dahlingaznetta is ranked at the top of the list, with very few other mares who have produced 10 or more champion foals. Ballerina's dam line was bred by the breeders of the dam side of many National Champions.
Ballerina is a very well bred young mare with her full reproductive life ahead of her. She was in foal to Dreamcatcher for a March 2003 foal. This stunning foal we named RJ LORROLYN, is Ballerina's first and only get as of today. Shareikh's dam (and Bint Samanna's dam) is *Samanna, whose sire is the black Marbach stallion, Gharib.

| OM El Shareikh |
He is sired by *Sanadik El Shaklan and out of *Samanna.
SANADIK (*El Shaklan x *Mohena) was bred and born in Germany and was World Champion Yearling Colt at his first show. Today Sanadik is one of the world's leading sires of national, international and world champions. Over the past couple of years Sanadik sired the National Junior Champion Mare of Poland (a huge honor), the National Champion Mare of France, the National Champion Mare of Chile, the National Junior Champion Colt and Filly of Australia (a huge feat), National World Champion Two-Year-Old Colt, World Champion Most Classic, National Champion Three-Year-Old Mare of Sweden, many Cal-Bred Champions, and a Sanadik daughter was the dam of the recent Scottsdale Champion Stallion (the largest Arabian horse show in the world). We are very proud of his accomplishments and we are proud to own some of his prestigious get.
Om El Shareikh's dam is *Samanna ("Bint" means daughter-of in Arabic).

*SAMANNA (Gharib x Scharaya) was born at the Marbach State Stud in Germany. Her sire Gharib was a tall, athletic black stallion purchased to give some 'stretch', length of leg and athletic ability to the predominately small and typey German program. Few of the Marbach-bred Gharib daughters were ever available to the public except to a few elite, well-connected customers. In Germany *SAMANNA was bred to Sanadik's sire, *EL SHAKLAN, to produce *SHAREM EL SHEIKH. 'SHEIKH' was imported to the U.S. and was always supreme champion in shows. He won unanimous Scottsdale Champion Stallion and unanimous Buckeye Champion Stallion - two of the most prestigious shows in this country. Then SHEIKH proved himself as a sire by siring many champions. One son, ETERNETY' won the coveted title of U.S. National Champion Stallion. *SAMANNA was bred to SANADIK and produced the stallion OM EL SHAREIKH, who was shown to Champion Stallion at a big Santa Barbara show. BINT SAMANNA is the full sister to SHAREIKH and half sister to *SHAREM EL SHEIKH. *SAMANNA is 27 years old and no longer able to produce.
"Om El Shareikh" will be the last stallion of *SAMANNA ever offered for sale. We have his full sister, Bint Samanna, (Bint Samanna was named in honor of her illustrious dam), who will also carry on the *Samanna line in our breeding program.
